Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! I just got back from my getaway and wanted to share some outfit posts that I was frankly too lazy to posy while I was on vacay with family and friends. I just love it when I discover a new brand! I was browsing online and came across this ATM dress – it is extremely soft cotton which feels luxurious. It is the perfect brand for comfy chic clothing around town and for travel clothing! I also bought some slim joggers (in military color) which I wore on the flight back with a comfy T and a blazer and they are divine (I got compliments in customs)! I can’t even describe how soft the cotton feels and it wore extremely well on the flight. I threw on my silver kicks (which I wore all over London and Rome) and I was ready to roll!
I hope everyone is having a great summer! I just got back from London and I must admit I am a bit jet lagged. I took a break from posting during the holiday because I pretty much hung out and partied with my friends and family but don’t worry I did take photos! I wore this dress around London while I was shopping (yeah it was sale season) and sight-seeing in Rome – it is so comfy! It is also perfect for Fourth of July holiday and I am sporting it today! I just got introduced to this designer while she was having a trunk show in Houston – her pieces are extremely reasonably priced and fun to wear. This dress did not wrinkle at all so it was perfect for travel. Isn’t it great when you can repeat an outfit?!? But the silver kicks were a part of my every day uniform. They have been an awesome investment and with the fall silver craze coming they will be spot on trend wise in the fall as well.
Greetings from London! I have been encountering some technology issue so I apologize for not posting sooner! I am here for a fun family holiday and the weather is extremely hot! They are experiencing a heat wave – and without air conditioning at most places (my inner Houstonian almost passed out) it gets to be a bit toasty. I have been dreaming of ice cubes quite a bit. But heat wave aside the city is gorgeous and still one of my favorite places ever!
This is a quick post of a dress I came across during the Nordstrom sale that I wore out to a fun girls lunch! The lace is absolutely gorgeous and the color of this dress is out of this world. When I saw it I was reminded of the Self-Portrait lace dress (worn here) but at a much more reasonable price (and its on sale)! Win-win all around.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! The Nordstrom sale is still going strong and I came across this dress that I have fallen in love with completely – especially the pockets. The pictures do not do it justice. What is so hard to capture is the shimmer of gold throughout the dress which gives it such an enchanting look. I got compliments all night when I wore it!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I just wanted to share a quick post about one of my favorite dresses. It is a beautiful deep red – an almost burgundy color. I love it so much I am contemplating getting it in other colors!! I have owned this particular dress for a while and it has been perfect for many occasions. It is my favorite fit and flare silhouette and to keep the focus on the dress I kept the heels and accessories minimal. These shoes really do go with everything!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I want to share a quick post about this gorgeous dress that I took to Miami with me. I wore it out to dinner with Mr. Wonderful and when I came out he exclaimed “babe that is the definition of pretty in pink! Of course that made me even happier. This dress is really well made and fits perfectly off the rack. The lace is heavy weight which makes it fit nicely and it is spot on with the lace trend. The price point cannot be beat especially when compared to other lace dresses on the market. I added nude heels to keep the focus on the dress and some gold circle earrings (my new faves) and I was ready for date night!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I am sharing this fabulous dress that I wore in Miami – it was lightweight, did not wrinkle easily and I love the army color. I added my new favorite earrings that I am wearing on repeat (the are only $32 and they go with everything). I received constant compliments when I wore them around Miami. I completed the look with some wedges and a simple but beautiful black bag. I love the simplicity of this bag and it also comes with a cross-body strap which is the icing on the cake (it also comes in a lovely natural color which is a great neutral). It is roomy enough to carry my camera and accessories that I may or may not have purchased as I was walking around 🙂
Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing weather! Gingham is no longer just for tablecloths – it has been transformed into fun dresses, tops, skirts and even shoes for summer. Nothing says summer time like gingham. It is a lightweight cotton that drapes beautifully and is perfect for summer heat. I wore this outfit to lunch and got tons of compliments. I belted my dress and added fun flats. I became instantly brunch ready!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! I must confess, I have been enjoying my fall break in Rosemary with the kiddos and Mr. Wonderful, so my blog was on the back burner all week. There is nothing like a week away from home to recharge the batteries. Lucky for me, it also happened to be South Walton Fashion Week, so I was able to attend a number of shows and to see some amazing new emerging talent (as well as the Christian Siriano pre-show peek at Alys beach!) The weather was perfect – blue skies, puffy clouds and a great breeze. Since the show was outdoors, I decided to keep things fun and easy with this super cute pink full skirt (I had mine shortened) and a loose white button down shirt. To give the outfit a little “edge”, I added my studded pumps and a fun belt. I also grabbed my favorite new clutch from Misela (which I purchased at Atrium RTW at a recent trunk show; and the best part – I got to pick my colors and stitching, so of course it is blush pink….)
I hope everyone has been having a great week! The rain has been falling steadily here, but today started with a glimmer of sunshine through my window and it is amazing how much my mood has improved. As I recall sunnier days, I am taken back to this photo shoot from Rosemary Beach…..I am always looking for a fun flirty dress, and when I came across this one it was instant love! The black background with the cream embroidery is the perfect balance of delicate and flirty, and the ruffles across the bodice complement the fun, flirty feel. The dress also comes in a mint green which is gorgeous!
Given all of the embroidery and ruffles on this dress (which deserve to be the center of attention), I added no accessories other than my usual daily jewelry, black block heels (totally on trend) and a black-detailed straw bag. As you know, I love an item of clothing that can do double duty – I have also styled this dress as a fun top, adding a long black skirt and a wide black belt on bottom – no one was the wiser! The dress became two separate pieces of clothing, which makes it a great option for vacation packing….
I have also styled with dress with black ballet flats and a chic black cross-body bag for easy day-to-day errands after school drop-off.
I hope that gives you some good ideas for multiple stylings for the dress!
