Hope you had a great week! I came across this bomber jacket this week and fell in love! It is a light weight chambray and perfect for cold restaurants in Houston and I cannot wait to wear it with pants (insert swooning emoji here). Best part of all…..it is under $30!
I wanted to dress it up for a ladies luncheon so I added a full skirt and some platform heels. Isn’t it wonderful when the party favor is a book and seeds to plant? I am dying to read this and then I am going to watch the movie with Michael Fassbender (he’s kind of dreamy).
This will have to be short and sweet today because I am battling a migraine headache. I rarely get them but when I do they tend to linger. I want to share this gorgeous bustier with preppy buttons and chic color combination (it is also gorgeous in navy and black). There is a sale going on right now so use code GOBIG16. Since there is a bit of chill in the air (yeah for Houston) I added a top underneath for some extra warmth. This would also look amazing on a midi skirt or flare jeans. It has the ability to be dressed up and down!
I am off to Miami for my anniversary and wanted to drop a quick post before I dash….I know that Fall is nowhere in sight in Houston but I had to get my flares out. I am in air conditioning all day so it worked out great! I threw on my new favorite top and this fun tassel necklace and was ready to go!
Have a great weekend and follow me on Instagram for my Miami adventures!
Greetings from paradise! I apologize for the missing posts this week, but I have been swamped with getting our beach house ready. I forgot how much goes into a new house (e.g. not just plates and utensils but mixing bowls, place mats, containers, hooks, beach towels….the list is endless.) I have pretty much exhausted all the stores and the local Target is now bare! But I have also been going out for dinner and this is what I wore last night.
I adore Olivia Palermo and when I saw that she has a collaboration with Chelsea 28 – I had to try everything. These are two of my favorite pieces – the shearling vest and the jumpsuit. The vest is amazing! It is extremely soft, the dark blue hue is beautiful and I love the peplum style. It would look great as a topper on pretty much everything. I have not historically owned many jumpsuits, even though I love rompers, but the cut out back is super sexy and a great way to do elevated denim. The clean lines are very chic, and the combo is spot on perfect! I added the belt and I was ready to roll.
P.S. I took these photos on my new beach house porch….dreamy!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! The temps have dropped tremendously and I am reaching for my cashmere poncho. This wrap feels like a warm hug on a chilly day. The pale gray is flattering on almost every skin tone and it goes with everything. I have been getting dressed and throwing it on top of virtually every outfit (I also adore it in the black and birch color – dreamy).
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I am still recovering from jet lag but I almost feel like myself again. I don’t know about anyone else but I am insanely excited about the current San Diego weather here in Houston. I spent Sunday (literally all day) in my Adirondack chairs on my front lawn. It was extremely relaxing – I feel like a limp noodle even now. I think this might be the best way to spend a Sunday ever!
Distressed denim is still a current trend and this might be my favorite pair ever. These beauties are 40% off with code FAST. I love dressing them up and down – they have taken me from running errands to evening drinks.
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I went for a quick getaway to check out the house progression in Rosemary Beach. The good news is they are ahead of schedule – unheard of in house construction but I am not complaining. The bad news is that in my rush of packing I forgot my jewelry so the three outfits from Rosemary Beach this week will not contain any jewelry in the photos (insert horror emoticon). I will make suggestions as to what I was planning on accessorize with the outfit.
I will start today with my travel outfit. The fun stripes and color of this summer dress put me in the perfect mood for the beach. This is an oldie but a goodie from my closet but the real spark for this outfit is the shoes. These are the newest babies to join the collection and I pretty much cannot stop wearing them (as you will see in the next few posts). The color, the south asian vibe and of course the tassels! It is the trifecta of shoe perfection for me. I was actually stopped in the airport three times by strangers (men and women) to tell me they love the shoes.
With the bold colorful stripes and busy shoe – imagine my simple pearl 360 pearl earrings to avoid too many competing items.
I hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful weather – it really is the most beautiful time of the year…just like the song. I have been deep into my spring cleaning and I came across these photos from Rosemary (aka Heaven on Earth).
I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! I am a bit slow to post this morning because my Mom is in town!! She just got here this weekend so we are trying to pack in some last-minute shopping – we are going to need all the help that we can at this point. Here is a quick peek at my OOTd with one of the biggest trends for fall – FUR!
