Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! I just got back from my getaway and wanted to share some outfit posts that I was frankly too lazy to posy while I was on vacay with family and friends. I just love it when I discover a new brand! I was browsing online and came across this ATM dress – it is extremely soft cotton which feels luxurious. It is the perfect brand for comfy chic clothing around town and for travel clothing! I also bought some slim joggers (in military color) which I wore on the flight back with a comfy T and a blazer and they are divine (I got compliments in customs)! I can’t even describe how soft the cotton feels and it wore extremely well on the flight. I threw on my silver kicks (which I wore all over London and Rome) and I was ready to roll!
I hope everyone is having a great week! I just wanted to share a quick post about one of my favorite dresses. It is a beautiful deep red – an almost burgundy color. I love it so much I am contemplating getting it in other colors!! I have owned this particular dress for a while and it has been perfect for many occasions. It is my favorite fit and flare silhouette and to keep the focus on the dress I kept the heels and accessories minimal. These shoes really do go with everything!
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! This is going to be a quick post because I am going to go enjoy this gorgeous day with a round of tennis!
I wore this outfit earlier this week to the University of Women’s Table Talk event – I came across this top online and immediately fell in love with it. In Houston heat a thin cotton sleeve top with a trendy big sleeve is spot on for summer! This top also comes in a beautiful blue gingham print which makes me swoon (purple gingham, and blue cotton – all great for the heat ahead). I added a full skirt and fringe heels and was ready to roll.
I hope everyone had a fabulous week! Today I am all about the kicks! It has been a few years of sporty flat wear and the inner New Yorker in me rejoices. Every season in New York I was constantly looking for the perfect pair of flats that I could wear everywhere (and with everything) so my feet wouldn’t hurt. If I was still in New York I would have more pairs of sneakers than I care to admit. I saw these Joshua Sanders slip on sneakers and completely fell in love a few months ago. But at the hefty price of $389 – I just could not make myself commit. However, when I came across these bow sneakers for a third of the price I became fully committed! They are the perfect pair of comfy yet chic kicks. I have worn them dressed up under a skirt, with these fun joggers and even with skinny jeans and a leather jacket. I cannot wait to take them when I travel – they will elevate every look to the next level no matter how casual.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! I must confess, I have been enjoying my fall break in Rosemary with the kiddos and Mr. Wonderful, so my blog was on the back burner all week. There is nothing like a week away from home to recharge the batteries. Lucky for me, it also happened to be South Walton Fashion Week, so I was able to attend a number of shows and to see some amazing new emerging talent (as well as the Christian Siriano pre-show peek at Alys beach!) The weather was perfect – blue skies, puffy clouds and a great breeze. Since the show was outdoors, I decided to keep things fun and easy with this super cute pink full skirt (I had mine shortened) and a loose white button down shirt. To give the outfit a little “edge”, I added my studded pumps and a fun belt. I also grabbed my favorite new clutch from Misela (which I purchased at Atrium RTW at a recent trunk show; and the best part – I got to pick my colors and stitching, so of course it is blush pink….)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I made it to Dubai and am now in Oman – has there ever been a country as beautiful as this? After the hustle and bustle of Dubai (will share posts soon), the calm serenity of Oman is absolutely intoxicating. Almost every building in downtown Muscat is white, providing a stark and beautiful contrast against the bare, rocky mountains. Then you see the coastline, the sand, and the calm and intensely blue water, all of which have a wonderful calming effect. I will be honest – I definitely could have stayed for much longer and can’t imagine ever growing tired of the natural beauty.
Here is an outfit I wore to dinner. This skirt is perfect for a fun night out – the high low skirt is festive and extremely fun to wear. I love pairing black and blue – with the touches of mixed metals, I felt the outfit was spot-on perfect for the locale and our wonderful traditional Omani dinner.

Here is what I have been up to all week on Instagram…
Newest addition to the family…
I am off to Rosemary Beach (aka heaven) to check on my house! The build is ahead of schedule and I have to go take a peek before the walls are closed. If you have ever dealt with a contractor or a remodel you know that this never happens. I am literally swooning with excitement!
Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday! Leather is still going strong this summer and I am indulging in these fun olive leather shorts. They will translate well to fall this year. I am imaging these leather shorts with mustard yellow, white, black, beige, taupe and red. Have I mentioned that I am in a seriously red lipstick phase? This Tom Ford lipstick has been a go to favorite!
