Resort Chic Blues: Palazzo Pants

Hello lovelies!

I hope everyone is having a great week! I am writing this while I watch the rain outside, which inevitably makes me crave a lazy, stay inside and curl up kind of day. In fact, more than anything I would like to be in Rosemary curled up in my book nook with a good read. I am always on the hunt for something that I haven’t read, so feel free to send me recommendations! Then again, I also wish I were in Rosemary enjoying a beautiful sunny day at the beach…

I am a huge fan of palazzo pants (see here and here)! I was thrilled when I came across this high waisted, dark blue pair. The color is so rich, and the high waist and wide bottom is flattering on many different body types. While at the beach I like to give things a fun, nautical spin and this striped top is amazing! It was hard to capture its beauty because of the wind, but it is lightweight and I love the wide sleeves and the slightly cropped top which looks great with the high-waisted pants while giving the overall look a feminine touch (I am not usually a huge fan of high-waisted pants because my torso is so short, but this pair is extremely flattering on the body.) I kept things simple with my rose quartz necklace and my new beach bag – thanks to a quick stop at the Alys Shoppe!

Oz Beach Style: Gingham & Straw

Hello lovelies!

Sorry for the late post today, but I have been unpacking and getting back into the swing of things. The beach was just dreamy – there is no other way for me to say it. I LOVE our new house, and I cannot wait to start putting my personal stamp on it. I was extremely busy with getting the house ready, but I generally found time for some fun lunches and dinners. I adore this dress that I wore out to lunch – it is extremely lightweight and the shape is fun and flirty for summer.Throw in the gingham print (which reminds me of the Dorothy dress from Oz, but much chicer and more modern), and that coupled with my mood was the trifecta of fabulous.

With Oz heavy on my brain I added a straw bag by Olive design. One of my dearest friends just started her own business making these fabulous straw bags and I am madly in love with them. They are the perfect size and extremely whimsical – so of course they have my name all over them! Follow her on Instagram and place an order (she does custom orders – can anyone say blush pink?)
